STUDIO

Serac K2 is a design and spatial studio based in Liège.
Objects with presence.

We create objects, furniture and spatial pieces rooted in matter, transformation and industrial memory.
The studio explores raw materials, casting, burning, erosion and light developing pieces that exist somewhere between sculpture and function.

Founded by a collective of designers and artists, Serac K2 works at the crossroads of design, scenography and installation.
Each project begins with a physical process: cutting, melting, burning, assembling, testing.
The studio operates as a laboratory where forms emerge through experimentation rather than predetermined drawings.

Our approach is traces, residues and transformations.

Industrial landscapes, forgotten infrastructures, technical gestures and symbolic forms inform our work.

Objects are treated as fragments of architecture or relics from another era — carrying both physical weight and narrative tension.

Alongside its original creations, the studio also develops a curated selection of objects, furniture and vintage pieces sourced from designers, artisans and manufacturers whose work resonates with its material research and aesthetic vocabulary.
This parallel practice extends the studio’s universe and makes its spatial language accessible through a broader range of forms and scales.

Process

From sketches to molds, from molten metal to burned wood, from prototypes to final pieces — the studio develops its work through direct engagement with materials.

Casting, welding, sanding, printing and assembling are part of the same continuous research.
