Chloris — Resin Botanical Vessel
€ 60,00
Studio Piece — Original creation by Serac K2.
Transparent resin planter embedding dried and dyed plants, conceived as a luminous sculptural object.
Description
This botanical resin planter was created in the Serac K2 studio in Liège.
Cast in translucent resin, the vessel encapsulates dried and dyed plant fragments, suspended within the material like geological inclusions or frozen botanical traces. Light penetrates the object, revealing depth, colour variation and internal textures.
Between functional container and sculptural artefact, the piece transforms domestic vegetation into a spatial composition. Its irregular silhouette and organic surface echo erosion processes and natural growth, while the embedded plants create a layered internal landscape.
Each botanical resin planter is developed through a slow experimental process: casting in successive stages, positioning botanical elements by hand, curing, sanding and polishing to achieve optical clarity and structural balance.
The work belongs to the studio’s ongoing research into hybrid objects — combining vegetal matter, industrial processes and luminous volumes. Conceived as a fragment of nature preserved in synthetic geology, it questions permanence, fragility and artificial ecosystems.
Produced as a unique piece or in limited editions, the botanical resin planter reflects Serac K2’s commitment to experimental craft, material honesty and sculptural presence.
